Private celebrations at Uovo Asador

Uovo Asador

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a birthday party intertwined with a Chinese New Year celebration at Uovo Asador, and it truly was a fantastic experience. For those in search of a private venue that offers a touch of the extraordinary, I can recommend Uovo Asador as an ideal choice for celebrating engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, and other significant events.

The venue

Uovo Asador

This exclusive dining area, located on a quiet street in Damansara Kim, Petaling Jaya, can host between 18 to 22 guests, and is available strictly through reservations only. Enjoying the exclusivity of the entire restaurant, the staff at Uovo Asador will work closely with you to tailor a menu that fits your budget, and dietary preferences, ensuring a personalised and memorable dining experience.

As far as parking is concerned, we took a Grab but there seemed to be enough parking spots at that time.

Upon entering, the softly lit atmosphere exudes a subtle yet stylish coziness. The blend of brocade curtains, deep-toned wallpaper, and suspended colourful Chinese lanterns conjures a vivid essence of Chinese New Year, complemented by the captivating wall mural featuring three mysterious ladies.

The table arrangement, highlighted with gold accents was simple but elegant.

As part of our Chinese New Year celebrations, we were lucky to witness a lion dance featuring what could easily be the two most adorable lions in Kuala Lumpur.

The menu offered  a varied, and delicious mix of traditional Chinese New Year favourites, including special dishes like fish maw, braised abalone accompanied by Japanese flower mushrooms and crispy deep-fried prawns. There was also crisp Atlantic halibut fish and Iberico pork. Naturally, the whole  banquet began with the tossing of my favourite dish – Yee Sang, which is always fun and messy. Since it was a birthday, we finished our multiple courses with a birthday cake.

Following the meal, we transitioned to a neighbouring private room to enjoy the rest of the evening.

Thumbs up or down for Uovo Asador?

I really must highlight here the great service at Uovo Asador. The staff are all professional, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about their work.

So, if you’re in search of an exclusive dining location for a special event – be it birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, a bachelorette/stag party or any other memorable occasion – look no further. The staff here pride themselves on their collaborative spirit. Whether you have a specific theme, decorator, or cake maker in mind, they will work with you and your chosen professionals to bring your vision to life, allowing you to transform the venue in a way that reflects the occasion’s unique character .

It is worth mentioning that Uovo Asador belongs to the Asador group, a collection of other excellent restaurants. Three sister establishments are located on the same street as Uovo Asador: Farm to Plate, a rustic, family-style restaurant known for its Iberico ribs; Le Sense, which specialises in dim sum and other Chinese dishes; and Mera, offering a variety of Asian dishes.

Additionally, La Moon at Greens Terrace TTDI provides exceptional Thai cuisine.

If you’re looking to just grab a bite in Petaling Jaya, we like Bottega PJ.
