Merry Christmas lah at the Batik Boutique

Jingle bells! It’s all about Christmas at the Batik Boutique in KL, where the team is gearing up for Christmas. Batik colours are everywhere… Let’s have a look!

It’s hard not to get in that Christmas mood, with a band playing Christmas songs outside, red and green decorations everywhere and… do I see a Santa hat in the back of the shop?

Holiday collection

Batik Boutique

First things first: I am dashing over to the Christmas tree, since I can’t resist the look of the batik baubles. They’re made of traditional batik, in all different kind of colours and shapes.

Batik Boutique welcomes the holiday season with their newest Batik Lux – Holiday Collection 2022. All items look great in the well-lit shop of the Batik Boutique. The collections are a fusion of traditional Malaysian batik with a modern look and style. It includes the newest men’s batik shirt in Garnet Firework, and a women’s batik long shirt dress in Latte Fern. Gorgeous!

Batik: not just for cotton clothes

Urban myth: batik can only be done on cotton. Not true! There is nothing wrong with cotton, and it comes in different kinds of fabric, but I never knew that silk looks amazing with batik as well! I particularly love the look of a black silk dress, on display in the shop and looking spectacular with a few simple yet stylish golden stripes on the side. For men, there is a large selection of colourful shirts, with a lot of different designs. A great Christmas gift for those-who-have-everything-already.

Aside from luxurious batik shirts and dresses, Batik Boutique’s Holiday Collection also focuses on artisan-made gifts, such as Homeware Gift Set in Teal Starry, Fashionista Set, and their batik-inspired Unisex Socks.

While I am admiring a batik ‘Merry Christmas’ sign, I notice a DIY batik kit. Fab! Now I can create my own batik or gift to my children, so they can make it for me instead. I can imagine this piece already hanging on my front door. Just in time for Christmas… Would you rather have some batik lessons first?
