Are you looking for the perfect park for kids in KL? Look no further than Titiwangsa Park, a serene oasis located just a short 10 to 15-minute drive from KLCC. Titiwangsa Park, also known as Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, offers a breath of fresh air amidst the urban jungle.
This nice park spans over 95 hectares and has a picturesque lake that’s a sight to behold. The best time to visit is in the early morning or late evening to escape the afternoon heat.
Activities at Titiwangsa Park
For families with children, Titiwangsa Park is perfect for activities. We took our little ones there, who were thrilled with the big playground and the water playground, which can get quite busy during weekends and public holidays.
Kids can also enjoy horseback riding, which is very affordable here. The horse-riding area is open on weekends and public holidays from 9am to 12pm and 3pm to 6pm. Trainers will guide your kids around the paddock for just RM1 per kid.
If cycling or rollerblading is more your style, you can rent bicycles or rollerblades for a reasonable fee of RM5 for 30 minutes. Of course, you can also bring your own. Additionally, there’s a boating lake where you can rent a pedal boat or engage in various water sports activities. And did you know that Titiwangsa Park also offers a canopy walk, and a butterfly area?!
Food options
If you’re planning a picnic, there are plenty of tables and benches available at the park. Food stalls are also scattered around the park area, offering a variety of delicious local snacks and meals. And if you prefer to eat indoors, there’s a restaurant within the park itself. It’s called White & Black Lakeside Tasik Titiwangsa. We haven’t been there yet, but the recommendations are quite good.
While wandering through the park, don’t forget to admire the surrounding nature. The lake is teeming with fish, turtles of all sizes and even some reptiles.
From the park you can catch stunning views of KLCC and also enjoy a romantic sunset with your loved one(s). Titiwangsa Park truly offers an array of experiences that cater to all tastes. Enjoy!
