Most schools are back to online learning and extracurricular activities and field trips are still limited, as social distancing measures remain in place. But fret not, there is Airbnb’s new collection of online experiences called Field Trips, and parents can now send their kids on a virtual trip of discovery.

Through these educational experiences hosted by passionate and expert hosts, parents can send their kids on a virtual trip of discovery with some of the world’s brightest and bravest. Help your kids to broaden their horizons by tapping into a network of experts based all over the world. From embarking on a leopard safari tour with the little ones to becoming a self-proclaimed stay-at-home chef, there’s something for every type of curious kid to keep them occupied.

Check out these kid-friendly online experiences for the young ones to explore in their next virtual adventure.

1. Go on a leopard safari in Sri Lanka

Experience the thrill of a leopard safari adventure and see wildlife up in the comfort of travellers’ homes. Airbnb has sprung up to bring the sights and sounds of the bush into the living rooms.

2. Weaving with tees

Looking for non-regular art and craft classes? It’s time to upcycle old clothing and t-shirts into practical rugs and mats. This activity is also suitable for kids who are keen to develop hands-on art and creativity skills.

3. K-pop concert and dance class for beginners

Locked in and bored out of minds? Put your best foot forward and learn new choreography in this virtual K-pop dance class. The next pop star could be just right beside you – your kid!

4. Food and drinks from the Philippines

The smallest of hands can be surprisingly good in the kitchen. Get ready for some good cooking fun with kids. It’s about time to learn the basics of Pinoy cuisine!

5. Learn about a traditional Chinese musical instrument

Whether it’s for virtual learning or just to let kids have experience with the Gu Zheng, a traditional Chinese musical instrument, this online experience can be a great way to hear more about music while connecting to Chinese culture and history.

For more ways to keep your kids busy this year, check out the whole collection. It features more than 75 Online Experiences hosted from over 20 countries and varies in duration from 45 minutes to two hours.
