Trinkets at Plaza GM near Chow Kit market are sold at whole sale prices. It’s a treasure trove for cheap junk jewelry, accessories, beads and more. It is a bit claustrophobic but you can find lots of curious stuff – it has floors and floors of little shops.
I felt like I just needed to get these Frozen wallets. They set me back RM 6.50 each, jewellery between 1 and 5 Ringgit. Many of the shops offer discounts if you buy a certain number of products – ask the staff, it often is not advertised.
Just outside Plaza GM there are wholesale shops selling bags and men’s leather belts.
Getting to Plaza GM
It’s really easy to get there by public transport – Chow Kit station is just around the corner. If you are driving, there is parking along Lengkok Raja Laut. There is also car park in Plaza GM itself, but it has a weird lift system for cars – I find it safer to park firmly on the ground.
