Mission accomplished at Da Men USJ and Dadi cinema

Our MyZenMama went undercover and went on a special mission to Da Men USJ… Let’s have a look at her report!

A message appeared in my inbox and caught my attention: Attention Agent X, your presence is requested at Da Men USJ for a top-secret Christmas mission…

Mission: Whimsical Elves Christmas media tour

Date: Wednesday, 24 November at 4.30pm

Location: Da Men USJ, Subang Jaya

Dress code: Christmas Cheer

Yes! I love going on a mission. And so, at precisely 4.30pm, me and my trusted side-kick (a.k.a. husband), stepped into Da Men USJ and proceeded to the counter to receive our missions for the day. Upon reaching the counter, we noticed many other agents had gathered at the meeting point, but that did not deter us from starting our own missions. In fact, it had stirred us into immediate action!

Mission #1: Take an elfie

Da Men mall

This was easy. We found a perfect spot for it, at the beautiful, shimmering Christmas garden – and we snapped away! Shoppers will find many beautiful spots like this for selfies and wefies.

Mission #2: Retrieve a secret item from Santa Claws

da men - Happy Go KL

This was more challenging, but with my dexterous hands (experienced by years of playing the piano) I managed to manoeuvre the claw to retrieve the secret item. Shoppers will get a chance at the Santa Claws machines to retrieve various gifts buried inside. Just redeem the tokens at the information counter with your shopping receipts – the more you shop, the more you get!

Mission #3: I Spy….

Da Di Cinema 7 - Happy Go KL

We had to hunt down various items with clues given in our phones. This was quite a task having to comb the entire floor for hidden ‘treasures’, but with our combined wits and brain power, we found them: book vouchers from BookXcess! Just as well, as they are having an awesome Christmas sale now.

If you happen to be around MyTOWN Shopping Centre, have a look at the BookXcess outlet there. Very special! Have a look at our review here.

At this juncture, all the secret agents were treated to a surprise: a coffee-tasting session hosted by Starbucks. After all that walking and treasure-hunting, getting to sit down for some coffee was a welcome break.

Mission #4: Dinner at Autism Cafe

What a treat and an honour to be served by very special persons at a cafe that was started by a very loving and supportive father for his son and others with autism. We had their best-seller: nasi kerabu, and it’s definitely a winner. Do head on to the Autism Cafe located at Lower Ground floor (opposite Pizza Hut) to support them. If you’re lucky, you might get entertained by some very talented musicians!

Mission #5: A rendezvous with Bond… James Bond!

Da Di Cinema 4 - Happy Go KL

Last but not least, we completed our final mission. We were super excited to be meeting Mr James Bond again, this time at the spanking new Dadi Cinema! And what a mind-blowing, heart-stopping experience in No Time to Die! James Bond certainly did not disappoint – it has everything a Bond movie would have: pretty girls, fast cars and bikes, and an evil villain.

Don’t forget to check out the awesome props display – you may just bump into King Kong there! Please note that the cinema is accessible for fully vaccinated patrons only – adults and children alike.

Christmas at Da Men USJ

Da Men USJ mall is truly a community mall, where the small traders are supported by the management with their pop-up stalls dotting the mall. Besides the many Food & Beverage outlets, there are also educational activities conducted at STEM 4 ALL Makerspace, as well as art and music classes on the topmost floor. All in all, it is an ideal place for shoppers young and old, to hang out, eat out, book browse, and to just sit back and enjoy a movie at Dadi. And this Christmas season is the best time to go with your entire family, as lots of treats and shopping rewards await you.

Da Men USJ’s having a Christmas Bazaar, at the Lower Ground Floor, next to Baskin-Robbins. ⁣⁣Happening every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the month of December, so don’t miss out!
