With a ton of Corona kilos in tow and no stamina left after the lockdowns, we were so happy to see that our gyms opened up again a few weeks ago! All with newly adapted SOPs, but with the same amazing trainers and great energy vibes.
Our Mamas are back in the gyms as well and have listed their favourite workout places for all gym junkies out there. Check them out here in our listicle and visit in real life of course!
1. Crossfit Vidatha
This is ActiveMama’s go-to place to work out: “We love the community and positive attitudes of the people here.”
Crossfit Vidatha has all types of programmes, suitable for kids and seniors. They are located in Publika facing the main road/houses.

ActiveMama is also a fan of rock climbing. More about that in her article here.
2. Flycycle @ FlyProject
With many locations all over KL, FlyProject is a boutique gym with personalised service where they greet you by name. Their Flycycle classes are infamous! Do you dare to burn 500 calories in 40 minutes?!
3. Daily Muscle
This awesome gym is located in Glomac Damansara, TTDI, and is regularly frequented by RecipeMama.
“Daily Muscle was founded by a Malaysian couple – one of whom was a former national cyclist. Their members have amazing stories to share, not just on weight loss, but also how they have found friends and community support there.”
A-G-11, Glomac Damansara, 699 Jalan Damansara, Kuala Lumpur
4. Breakfree Movement
DIYMama thinks that Breakfree Movement has got great classes for correct body movement. “The coaches program each class with different movement and games. Both adults and kids absolutely love it!”

5. Koa Fitness
Koa Fitness is a ladies-only gym. CuddlyMama: “I think it’s the perfect gym for women who want to achieve their fitness goals. Most importantly, you’re able to feel safe and at ease to work out in a spacious place and with interesting equipment. I suppose the ambiance and energy really caught my liking. Koa Fitness is an ideal women’s gym! I love the inspirational writings they have on their wall and mirrors; they make you wanna put extra effort in the workout.”
B-G-07, Gateway Corporate Suites, No.1 Jalan Desa Kiara, Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur
6. Body for Life Fitness Studio
SpanglishMama trains at boutique gym Body for Life, located at Plaza Damas. “It is a great place if you’re looking for a personal trainer or want to take part in group fitness. It also offers education programmes for fitness professionals. But its real strength lies with the owner of the gym, Ms. Simone Quinten. She knows exactly what she is doing and when she can push you further. Her pilates classes are excellent and very funny too!”
2nd floor, Block C1, C2 and C3, Jalan Seri Hartamas 1, Kuala Lumpur
7. PWRHouse
PWRHOUSE is a premium boutique fitness brand looking to revolutionise group workouts and elevate the sweat experience. PWRHouse has got a nice cafe for coffee or a healthy meal afterwards.

8. Impulse Studio
Have you ever heard about EMS? It stands for Electronic Muscle Stimulation, and it works wonders for soft muscles and those lockdown bellies. At the gym of Impulse Studio, you put on your special black tight pants and t-shirt and after that, the trainers help you in a suit that is linked to a machine that sends pulses through the suit. Scary? Well, at first DurianMama had to get used to it, but now she’s a fan!
