Hobby N Coffee in TTDI – have your coffee and sew too

We found a crafters’ heaven in this upstairs coffee shop in TTDI. Hobby N Coffee has two sewing machines available for customers to use (when not used in their sewing classes) that are free of charge. Kids are more than welcome to come along and practise sewing – when we visited there were a few home schooling young seamstresses making pencil cases. The friendly owner is happy to assist whenever she is available and the colourful materials seen in the photo are for sale at the cafe and also on-line at Popularfabric.com.

Great coffee is available (with top-notch latte art) as is food and pastries. While you sip away, you can use the wide selection of board games – again free of charge. Seems like a great place to spend a  rainy afternoon with the family. Or pop in after some outdoor fun at the TTDI park, or maybe a visit to the local library. Check their Facebook page for info on classes and other events like free tutorials for some of the more complicated board games.

If anyone out there is looking for a place to gather with friends for some sewing and chit-chat, I can’t imagine a better place than here!

    1. I know, it’s perfect for that! We’ll let you know if we hear of any get-togethers. It would probably be a good idea to pop in or send a message to the owners – they are likely to know if and when such groups are getting together.
