Another year has whizzed past! We want to thank all our readers – thousands and thousands of KLites log onto the blog every month, something we didn’t even dream of when we started writing less than two years ago! This year we have had to say goodbye to some contributors, but luckily we have met new friends who have joined our small team of volunteer mama bloggers and have managed to publish more posts on great things to see and do in KL, Malaysia and the region.
Thank you for your support and all the messages you’ve sent us this year! We always love to hear from you, so if you have any suggestions or ideas, drop us a line. We wish you a Happy New Year – here are the most read posts of HGKL in 2016:
1. Things to do with kids in Kuala Lumpur
This post continues to be our most popular one, and no wonder. We keep on updating it as new kids’ attractions open in KL. I go back to this list whenever I need to come up with fun activities to do on the weekends or school holidays.
2. Best indoor playgrounds in KL
Indoor playgrounds and soft play areas – lifesavers for parents of active toddlers. This guest post by Sarah of KL for Kids Facebook page was the first runner up of 2016.
3. Getaways from KL
Another oldie but goodie. The eternal question: where to take the family for a relaxing getaway from the city.

Looks like you are a kind-hearted and generous bunch: one of our most popular posts is one on charities looking for donations in cash and in kind.
5. Craft shops in KL
Looks like we need to boost the dire state of our posts on crafts – the post on craft supplies in KL continues in the top 5 of our most read posts!
6. Furniture shops in KL

10. Souvenirs and presents from Malaysia
We keep on updating this post as we discover new, beautiful Malaysian products to give when you need a special present from Malaysia, whether it is for friends, family or teachers at school.
