I recently had the absolute pleasure of experiencing the You Chill, We Grill promotion at Brasserie 25, nestled within the ever-stylish Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur, Autograph Collection and let me tell you – it was a feast for the senses! This chic hotel, which first caught my eye back in 2017, has always been a gem in the heart of a vibrant neighbourhood that buzzes with a mix of old-school charm and modern flair. With cafes, art galleries, and nightlife spots just steps away, it’s the perfect spot to soak up the city’s energy. But this time, it was all about the food, and Brasserie 25 definitely delivered.

The You Chill, We Grill experience is back, and it’s better than ever. Walking into Brasserie 25, you’re greeted by a warm, inviting vibe and a team of staff who are as friendly as they are professional. They whisked us to our table, and the culinary adventure began with a buffet of appetisers that had us immediately hooked. Think creamy hummus, tangy baba ganoush, fresh fattoush salad, smooth labneh, and colourful pickled veggies. The star of the starters, though, was the sangak bread – Persian “little pebbles” bread baked in a traditional stone oven. It’s crispy, golden, and has this incredible wheat aroma that makes you want it immediately.
Now, let’s talk about the main event: the grill platter. Oh. My. Goodness. This thing is a masterpiece, delivered to the table by the master chef himself, the charming Hossien Karimi, who took the time to walk us through every delicious detail. Piled high with goodies, the platter featured succulent grilled fish kebabs, charred chicken wings that were perfectly smoky, beef sausages and the show-stealer-lamb koobideh. It was juicy, flavourful, and hands-down the best part of the meal.


Alongside came grilled veggies, sweet corn on the cob, and a heap of French fries. All this accompanied with a choice of garlic or spicy sauce that had just the right kick. The portion was massive – meant for two, but we couldn’t quite conquer it, despite our best efforts! To wash it all down, there were soft drinks and juices, though you can totally elevate the experience with a glass of wine from their menu.
For dessert, we indulged in classic ice cream – simple but the perfect creamy finish to such a great meal.
Nightcap with a view

But the night didn’t end there. We decided to have a nightcap upstairs in Man Tao, the rooftop bar with breathtaking views of KL’s skyline.
Sipping a cocktail while taking in the twinkling city lights was the ideal way to end the evening.
This promotion is a must-try. The food is phenomenal, the service is top-notch, and the vibe at Brasserie 25 is just so lively and welcoming. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, You Chill, We Grill at Hotel Stripes is an experience that’ll leave you full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
You Chill, We Grill is available every Friday and Saturday, from 6pm to 10pm. It is priced at RM120++ for two persons.
