This coming Ramadan 2026, indulge in the delicious Ramadan buffet at Vasco’s in Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Western and Local favourites delight all the taste buds with some very interesting and unique options. We always seem to have a good time at Vasco’s – from the full length windows, to the festive air, and great food.
We worked our way around the room in no particular order and were very pleasantly surprised by all the live stations (what service!) and found the taste of the freshly made ‘scallop with ginger and garlic’ a must try!
The ‘slow baked short ribs with coconut floss and strawberry sambal‘ was very unique and moorish, the ‘smoked paprika beef shank’ so tender and flavourful, and the 6 hour tender ‘roasted venison’ had a yummy, slightly spicy meaty flavour. As usual the lamb was heavenly and easily came off the bone, while my husband decreed the signature ‘lobster Caesar salad‘ – “you need no other reason to come”.

The deliciously flaky ‘pan seared sea bass with lemon saffron’ was paired well with a divinely creamy ‘mushroom risotto’ and a juicy spinach tomato dish. We gave our mouths a refreshing break with the creamy raw salmon pieces and then got right back into the meat portions with the juicy ‘roast chicken’. (For plant based foodies, so much meat was unusual for us but it was so tasty we had to keep going!)

The ‘chicken percik with tualang honey’ hit the spot, plus the spicy succulent strips of ‘Xinjiang cumin beef’, and if you have space, wash it down with the long cooked flavourful ‘gearbox beef soup’.
Desserts at the Ramadan buffet
For the desserts potion of the evening, we have to give a big shout out to the delicious creamy ‘Musang King durian éclair’. We had no idea they were there (smell was cleverly disguised) until the manager pointed them out. What a treat! They also had a small table of assorted baklava and Turkish delights. Need I say more?
We enjoyed the ‘rose syrup agar-agar with biji selasih‘, as well as the creamy coffee Tiramisu, the ‘strawberry crémeux cake’, and the always crowd pleasing ‘berries panna cotta’ cup – this time with some yummy drizzled crunchy cookie bits on top. The fruit table was vast and exciting with lots of local varieties on offer like jambu air (one of my daughters favourite).

Definitely go with an empty tummy. Drink one hour before you come, so you wont waste valuable tummy space with any boring liquids.
Buffet prices start from RM238 nett per adult and RM119 nett per child (6–12 years old). Running from 19 February to 19 March 2026, the Ramadan buffet is available daily from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.
We were invited by Hilton Kuala Lumpur. As always, our opinions are honest and our own.
