Contemporary chic – that was our dress code for attending the grand opening of Thailand’s award-winning and leading retail giant Siam Piwat on 28 February 2022, as they bring three exclusively curated ‘Made in Thailand’ brands – Ecotopia, Absolute Siam and ICONCRAFT to Pavilion Bukit Jalil.
Present to officiate the grand opening of the retail stores was guest of honour Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, alongside other VIPs from the Thai Embassy and from Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. After a colourful lion dance performance, the guests of honour were invited to officiate the retail outlets by cutting ribbons to mark the launch of the ‘Made in Thailand’ brands.
The launch was followed by a contemporary fashion show highlighting star products from each of the curated brands Ecotopia, Absolute Siam and ICONCRAFT. I saw stars checking out each of the models parading outfits and products from those brands!

Shop till you drop
It was a wonderful experience to to walk through these retail outlets, and it almost felt like I was walking through the streets of Thailand without having to leave Malaysia. All I could think of when walking around was how much I wanted to shop everything offered in the store! My personal favourites were the home décor and handicraft items on sale in the outlet. Looks like it will be time to redecorate my home soon!
