KL doesn’t really have a flea market culture as we know it in Europe. The Amcorp weekend market comes closest, with a mix of collectors, professional sellers and a few private vendors. On Sundays the bottom floor is filled with antiques dealers selling anything from old handbags to coins and antique porcelain. Keep your expectations low – the goods sold are often very odd, like 80’s toys and shoes – but I have made great finds, like a large pewter tray for 20 RM.
The upper floors have tables with handmade stuff, plants and other usual bazaar items.
Vintage finds at Amcorp weekend market
The shops in the bottom floor are worth a dig too, and on the upper floors there are a few shops selling vintage dresses. These caught my eye last time I went – snapped with my phone. It seems vintage suitcases are in at the moment, there were stacks of them in several shops.
While at Amcorp, be sure to check out my regular haunt for cheap kids’ books and activity books, Bookxess and their newly opened outlet on the same floor selling knick-knacks, games and posters.

It’s been years since I’ve visited this market. Intriguing what you can find over there.
