A stylish soirée at Rooftop 25 with amazing views

Rooftop 25

I recently attended  a skyline soirée at the relaunch of Rooftop 25 Bar and Lounge at Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur, and it was a delightful experience. I hadn’t realised there was a rooftop bar on the 25th floor, and it’s definitely worth a visit. This refreshed venue combines great food, creative cocktails, and truly spectacular city views, making it an ideal spot for urban professionals, tourists, and families alike.

The panoramic views are breathtaking, with KLCC’s twinkling towers framed by a sleek glass wall that maximises the cityscape while ensuring safety for families with children. The relaxed yet sophisticated ambiance makes it ideal for casual celebrations or after-work get-togethers.

The menu at Rooftop 25

Led by Executive Sous Chef Cha Chee Hwa, who brings over two decades of expertise from renowned establishments like Marina Bay Sands and Raffles Hotel Singapore, the menu is vibrant, shareable, and filled with crowd-pleasers. Chef Cha is celebrated for his creativity and modern presentation. Here, he unveils a Spanish-inspired menu, showcasing signature creations such as Garlic Tiger Prawns, Wonton Nachos, and Vegetarian Chicken Makhani.

We began our evening with a selection of various starters. The Satay, served with a rich, creamy peanut sauce, and the Tandoori Chicken Popcorn were my standout favourites, with bold, unforgettable flavours. The classic Bruschetta, topped with earthy mushrooms and fresh tomatoes, was equally yummy.

We were then offered tasters of various main dishes, showcasing the menu’s diversity. The main dishes included juicy Beef and Chicken Burgers with fries, creamy Pasta Alfredo and Shrimp Marinara, and perfectly cooked Pan-Fried Barramundi with seasonal vegetables. A tasty Nasi Lemak added an Asian  touch, offering a great mix for all tastes.

The craft cocktails were another highlight. The Aurora, blending lager and tropical rum, was refreshing and zesty, while the Mystique, a wine-vodka mix, paired beautifully with the food. Mocktails were equally impressive, catering to all preferences.

The dessert was a creamy cheesecake that hit all the right spots. Smooth and rich, it came with a sweet-tart berry drizzle that made every bite a treat and was a perfect end to our evening.

The Signature Set (RM168 nett for 2-3 people) and Party Set (RM338 nett for up to 5) offer four-course experiences with optional drink pairings. Table upgrades (from RM100 nett) add a special touch for celebrations.

Rooftop 25’s blend of stunning views, flavourful comfort food, and creative drinks creates a perfect setting for memorable evenings. It’s family-friendly, Instagram-worthy, and ideal for everything from casual catch-ups to exclusive events. I’m already planning to return for another beautiful sunset and another Aurora!
