A festive time at Santa’s Magical Village

Santa's Magical Village

My daughters & I spent a joyful afternoon at Santa’s Magical Village, held at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre grand ballroom, and it truly felt like stepping into a Christmas wonderland. Organised in collaboration with La Memoria, every corner of the space was beautifully transformed to match the festive theme — from the decor and backdrops to the activity stations — creating an immersive experience for both kids and adults.

Activities that kept kids busy and happy

From the moment we stepped into Santa’s Magical Village, there was no shortage of activities to keep the children entertained. Creative workshops were set up all around the ballroom and these included DIY Christmas hats, paper colouring, sand art, along with fun game booths like ball toss and balloon burst. Younger kids especially enjoyed the bouncy castle, spinning cup, Santa’s Igloo and mini ball pit with slide. To add to the excitement, children were given a stamp card upon arrival at Santa’s Magical Village — each completed activity earned them a stamp, and once all were collected, they could redeem a small candy gift, which was a lovely touch because this kept my girls motivated to finish all the workshops.

Lively entertainment throughout

The atmosphere at Santa’s Magical Village was kept upbeat with carollers singing Christmas classics, instantly setting the festive mood. A fantastic magician wowed not just the kids but adults too with his jaw-dropping tricks. Trust me when I say even the adults were mesmerised by his show – he was really that good! There was also a very entertaining game master that kept the energy going by organising many interactive games to ensure the kids were engaged throughout the event. And of course, what is a Christmas event without the appearance of Santa?

Food-wise, the buffet offered a wide selection that catered well to families. Savoury options included fried rice, pasta, herb marinated lamb leg, sweet and sour chicken, fish in cream sauce, nuggets and wedges for kids, mushroom soup, and a salad bar. There was also a live roast chicken carving station, plus popcorn and cotton candy stands. Dessert was a highlight, featuring cute Christmas-themed treats like mini fruit tarts, Milo cheesecake, and reindeer chocolate mousse cake. Adults could also enjoy proper barista-made coffee, alongside nostalgic ice cream potong. There was also hot cocoa to add to the whole festive atmosphere.

A thoughtfully curated family experience

Santa’s Magical Village was a thoughtfully curated festive experience for the entire family. With La Memoria’s expertise in event styling and coordination, paired with Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre’s spacious ballroom and delectable buffet food, everything came together seamlessly — making it a fun, engaging, and stress-free outing for families during the holiday season. My girls & I had a lovely time and it definitely put us into a festive mood already!
