Deep in Plaza Damas sits a café and butchery selling a meat lover’s dream. Fresh grass-fed beef and lamb imported from Australia, Iberico ribs from Spain and locally produced pork and chicken feature highly at The Blue Cow. Many will know the café and butchery as a long-standing resident of KL, known for its café food complete with freshly baked breads, an array of pies, sausages and house made burgers. In fact if the chef’s of The Blue Cow Cafe can, they will make it fresh and in-house, right down to their tomato sauce. But what’s new is the addition of meat deliveries. You are now able to order freshly made sausages, pies, steaks or any butchery delights and have them delivered right to your door.
The Blue Cow prides itself on the fact that the meat is generally fresh and not frozen. In order to ensure that it arrives fresh to your door, the staff at The Blue Cow have implemented a delivery time system by specific KL postcodes, so planning ahead for your next barbecue or Sunday lunch has become much easier and with less KL traffic stress.

When I visited them it was a trip in the car, but I was not disappointed with a treasure trove of quality cuts of meat, and to my delight some Spanish Iberico ribs. I stopped for a large and hearty brunch and grabbed enough ribs for a ribby feast. The ribs were easy to prepare in the oven, dripping in succulent sauce and with meat falling from the bones in great chunks.

I’m a huge fan of delivery – I’ll do just about anything to avoid KL traffic. 🙂
