Whether you are a musical fan or TV buff, klpac has got you covered with not one, but two concerts starting with Magical Musicals II with The klpac Orchestra from 17 to 19 October 2025 and Once Upon A TV Screen with The klpac String Orchestra from 14 to 16 November at klpac.
Broadway and West End Comes Alive
Broadway and West End magic comes alive at klpac with the return of The klpac Orchestra’s beloved musical series after eight long years.
As “Les Misérables” fever starts building up, this concert is just what you need to whet your appetite. One of the highlights of the programme is a selection of tunes from the iconic French musical, one of West End’s longest-running musicals, including the poignant I Dreamed a Dream and Do You Hear the People Sing?
Other West End classics that musical lovers can look forward to is Andrew Lloyd Webber’s haunting “The Phantom of the Opera” as well as “Sunset Boulevard” based on the 1950 American dark comedy film noir.

There will be plenty of classics from across the shore as well. Audiences will be transported to the Jazz Age of the 1920s in “Chicago” with its mix of razzle dazzle and old school showbiz, still a Broadway favourite today.
Now when one talks about musicals and America, one cannot miss out legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Loving You from “Passion” and the bittersweet Send in the Clowns from “A Little Night Music” will also be featured in the concert.
Families with children and those young at heart can expect some more contemporary favourites including “Snow White” and “Anastasia”. Of course, the lineup will not be complete without the latest box office hit that has taken the world by storm, the Tony Award-winning “Wicked”.
This much-anticipated second edition features The klpac Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Lee Kok Leong who recently led the orchestra in a spectacular staging of “The Yellow River Cantata” at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas.
Magical Musicals II features familiar names in the musical circuit including one of the most versatile singers around town, Yon Lynn, who last rocked the stage at klpac in “The Show That Will Not Win An Award”.
Joining her are Brian Cheong, known for his melancholic voice and expressive delivery, and vocal powerhouse Rachel Liu, who just finished her solo show. The orchestra also welcomes back Jamie Tan who also sang for “Magical Movie Moments III”.
This enchanting programme will have you fall in love with these hit musicals all over again as each song tells a story and each number holds a special memory. It will also mark The klpac Orchestra’s season finale for this year.

TV themes from the 40s to today
Immediately after, The klpac String Orchestra presents a concert programme that is jam-packed with some of the most loved TV theme songs from classics to recent hit dramas.
Before the era of Netflix and streaming TV that has made content available round the clock, many of us grew up checking the dailies for the TV programme listing and waiting patiently for our favourite shows to come on.
The upcoming concert kicks off with animated favourites that were weekend morning staples such as the ever playful duo “Tom and Jerry”, the jazz-infused theme from “Pink Panther”, the zany world of “Looney Tunes” and a more recent hit “Pokémon”.
Kids fare aside, the string orchestra also pays tribute to the pioneer of adult-targeted animated sitcom known for its satire. “The Simpsons” debuted in 1989 and is still running today, making it America’s longest-running animated series.
Fast forward a few decades, audiences are invited to step into the fantasy realm of “Game of Thrones”, HBO’s Emmy Award-winning series that redefined television with its gripping storyline and unforgettable score. From fantasy, they cross over to sci-fi and horror with “Stranger Things” just before the release of its fifth season and a lighter number “Glee”.
Romance and drama are not forgotten either. Indulge in the lush orchestrations of “Bridgerton”, one of Netflix’s most popular period dramas. The concert programme also features a medley of K-drama favourites from smash hits such as “Crash Landing on You”, “Descendants of the Sun”, and “Goblin”, all of which have captured hearts far beyond Korea.
