I recently attended the launch of the limited reversible capsule collection by Maison Q for The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur, and it was a truly delightful experience. The collaboration between The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur and Maison Q brings to life a captivating collection of children’s wear that merges luxury, practicality and playfulness and was inspired by the hotel’s cute Butler Bear.
Maison Q, which is well known for its expertise in reversible kids’ clothing, has crafted this special line of merchandise which includes ready-to-wear items for children aged 1 to 7, as well as stylish men’s shirts, women’s blouses, backpacks, tote bags, and accessories. All are designed to create a cohesive family look and will be available to purchase at the hotel. What makes this collection even more special is the creation of two stunning limited-edition prints, each paying homage to the rich heritage of The St. Regis.
Capsule collection
The charming blue ‘A Day in the Life of a Butler’ features the Butler Bear in different hotel experiences, from participating in kids’ club activities to assisting with the luggage.
The sweet pink ‘Botanic Garden’ print showcases the Bear in a garden full of butterflies, picnic scenes, and the national flowers of Malaysia and Singapore – the hibiscus and the orchid.
Reversible Bar
The hotel has decked out the Crystal rooftop restaurant in the lovely prints and that’s also where you can find the unique Reversible Bar, where guests can customise their own reversible outfits, selecting their preferred design and pattern, making the experience interactive and personal.
Another fun activity aimed at the younger guests is ‘Styling the Butler Bear’ which will allow them to engage with the collection in a playful way, choosing their favourite prints and outfits for the cute bear.
Reversible Menu
Moreover, The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur is introducing a special themed menu and curated staycation packages that align perfectly with the aesthetic of the collection.
The creative chefs, clearly inspired by the reversible apparel, crafted an innovative Reversible Menu that embodies the playful spirit of this collaboration.
The dining experience began with a starter that intriguingly resembled an ice cream dessert, but actually turned out to be a savoury appetiser, which was both unexpected and entertaining.
As the meal unfolded, guests were treated to beautifully presented dishes, culminating in the grand finale that mimicked a burger and fries but was actually a delectable dessert.
This clever twist not only showcases the talent of the The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur chefs but also captures the essence of the reversible theme, celebrating the joy of surprise and delight.
We also had a peek at a suite offered for a Butler Bear Family Staycation adorned with the limited edition bear prints and lots of fun extras for the youngest guests.
Overall, this collaboration is a charming celebration of family, style, and heritage. Maison Q and The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur have successfully created a collection that not only looks beautiful but also offers meaningful experiences for the whole family and is really a stand out on the hotel market.
