A sticky wall, trampolines and a snow park – welcome to Espace Ekocheras Entertainment Park! The fairly new attraction is one of the newest indoor playgrounds to take the kids on weekends and holidays!
It is located at EkoCheras Mall, a new mall connected by MRT and home to all the usual suspects. We headed out there for the first time to check out the Espace indoor play park. Here’s what you’ll find at Espace Entertainment park:
eBOUNCE
My kids were immediately drawn to the trampolines. Jumping up and down and falling over had them giggling with glee and rolling over (literally!) in laughter. Interestingly enough we heard from the Espace staff that many adults (think college kids!) also choose to let off steam on weekdays by heading here. That’s because besides practising their backflips, they can make use of the two basketball hoops cleverly placed at the corner and jump on the trampoline courts to practice their slamdunking skills!
Once the trampoline fun wears off, there is a small foam pit area the kids can jump into. Filled with fun-sized foam shapes, the pit is attached to a rock wall the kids can try climbing. My kids were a tad young to try this, however, older children should not have a problem. There is also staff on hand to assist any kids who wish to give it a go.
The fun continued with the Spider Tower. Kids aged 12 and up can give this a go by ‘falling’ through four layers of a ‘spiderweb’ till they reach the bottom. Definitely one for the braver kids!
And now we come to the Sticky Wall – this looked so fun and I wished I had a wall like this at home to stick my children on when they don’t listen. But let’s not digress. Strap on the velcro suit, bounce bounce bounce on the trampoline and fling yourself onto the sticky wall.
My kids were a tad small for the suit and seemed bewildered by the concept. I, on the other hand, wished they had an adult-sized suit so I could give it a go. As if reading my extremely distracted mind, the staff mentioned that they had made orders for adult-sized suits. Thank you and I shall plan my trip back.
eSNOW
I admit I was expecting something colder and bigger. First off, they do make it clear on their Facebook page to expect ‘a snow experience without wearing jackets and gloves (ie: this area is of room temperature). The moderate-sized room filled with artificial snow allows you to walk around and shovel snow, make snowballs and snowmen.
But the highlight has to be the sledding section. My kids had a blast sledding downhill on tubes and plastic sleds. Young kids will absolutely love this and there is staff on hand to help them with the sleds.
