Sri Lanka may just be one of our favourite travel destinations.
Visiting Colombo with kids may not sound like a great idea but if you are going to Sri Lanka – which you really should, as soon as possible – do give the capital a chance. We didn’t enjoy the sticky traffic, but did love the bustle of this lively city and the historical buildings.
The beaches of Sri Lanka are wild and beautiful. Do check the seasons and be prepared to look carefully for beaches that are safe for the little ones to swim. We opted to rent a house on the coast near Galle, read more about our villa holiday in Sri Lanka here.
Galle itself is beautiful, with cobbled roads and enough to keep curious kids occupied for a while – we enjoyed visiting Galle with kids.
