Chinese New Year 2020 will bring the town alive with kids’ events taking place across the city on most weekends from now until CNY. Bookmark this page for later – we will update it with details of kids’ CNY workshops, competitions, craft activities and CNY performances. We also have a list of Lion Dances in KL!

Central Market
Lion dance walkabouts on the weekends, red packet workshops and an crobatic lion dance on 24 January at 11am and 1 February at 12pm. One of the few dragon dances in KL takes place here on 8 February at 1pm

The Curve
This year the musical is “The Roaring Lions” – on at least once a day on the weekends. An acrobatic lion dance on 11&18, 12&19 and 25-27 January at 6.30pm

Publika
Publika is always a great stop during festivals. This uear they have workshops with Balloon Wonderland (fees apply). Full schedule here.

1Mont Kiara
A hip hop dance along workshops, diabolo shows, prosperity drums and other workshops on the weekends leading up to CNY.
