The Malaysian premiere of YAGMCB features a local cast made out of popular musical theatre performers: Joel Wong (Charlie Brown), Benjamin Lin (Snoopy), Tria Aziz (Sally), Izen Kong (Schroeder), Safia Hanifah (Lucy) and Ivan Chan Atienza (Linus).

The Big Top is back in Malaysia with a brand new show to thrill children and adults alike. The Swiss Dream Circus’ performers from around the world are famous for their acrobatics and deft-defying talents, such as Andrii Maslov on the free ladder, Evgeny Slepukhin on the slack wire and Anastasiia on the aerial pole.

Great British Circus Malaysia

The Great British Circus is now at Setapak Village till the 5th of November. We’ve heard the Motor in Globe of Death is very impressive.

KL Eco Film Festical

 The 10th International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival will be held at MAP PUBLIKA, Mont Kiara Solaris from October 23-29th 2017. The film screenings are focused on critical environmental issues and stories such as pollution, transboundary haze, indigenous people’s rights, wildlife protection, nuclear energy, climate change, sustainable food production, waste management, local environmental heroes and more. While not a family festival as such, there are some interesting documentaries in the programme suitable for older kids and teens. Also do check out their workshops.

Junior Writers Programme

A 7-month mentoring programme for young writers aged 11-14. At the end of it, the students will have their work published in a book (minimum one story per child). Seats are limited. Parents need to apply via email. The closing date for applications is Oct 30, 2017.

 

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone™ – in Concert

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in Concert will feature the live symphony orchestra performing, to picture, every note from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Audiences will be able to relive the magic of the film in high-definition on a 40-foot screen while hearing the orchestra perform John Williams’ unforgettable score.
